Location, department in scheduler synching to payroll

Right now, when you schedule locations or departments, the employee will still need to select a clock prompt in order for it to communicate with payroll. It seems that there should be a way to script or tie things in the back, so that employees don't need to do that. Otherwise, it feels like a double workload to the client, and leaves them wondering why. This would be used for most companies and I would think most bureaus when using the scheduler.
